Karen started her career with KinderCare in the Summer of 1986. Currently, Karen is the Center Director at the Kensington KinderCare, in Abingdon, Maryland. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson State University. During her time at KinderCare, she has been an Assistant Director, Center Director and a program specialist in which she traveled to many centers to help with programing and accreditations.
Amber started her career with KinderCare in the Summer of 2002. Currently, Amber is the Assistant Center Director at the Kensington KinderCare. She obtained her Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from Essex Community College. During Amber's time at KinderCare, she has been an Assistant Director, School Age Teacher, KinderCare Bus, Cook, and a Tutorial Specialist.
Ms. Bethel started her career with kindercare during the summer of 2001. She has had many roles over the years, but her true calling is working with children 6 weeks to 12 months. Her main goal is to help children reach their developmentally appropriate milestone. Besides watching your children grow and develop, Bethel loves to travel with her family.
Ms. Jenn is very pleased to be a teacher here at Box Hill KinderCare. In high school, Ms. Jenn chose early childhood as her completer, where she earned her 90-hour certification. Ms. Jenn is currently working on getting her Child Development Associate's credential. She is always looking to learn new things in the child development field to help her better care for the children under her care. Ms. Jenn's philosophy as a teacher is for children to learn physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. She always to provides children with a safe, healthy, and fun environment to learn and play. Ms. Jenn is looking forward to have the chance to work with your child on growing in all areas of development. Ms. Jenn is married to a wonderful husband and they have two beautiful daughters.
Ms. Carrie has worked at Box Hill KinderCare for the past two years as our Discovery Preschool teacher. Before working here Ms. Carrie worked at one of our sister centers as a Kindergarten and School Age teacher. Ms Carrie's gentle nature and enthusiastic attitude about teaching is witnessed in her daily actions with the children and their families. Even though she has been with us a short time, she as become a great asset to our KinderCare family. Ms. Carrie has two loves, her family which consists of her son Charles, fiance Charlie and her extended family. Her second love is her students from past to the present ones. Ms. Carrie treats every child special, and as if they were her own.
